In reply to <a href="https://gospelworthdyingfor.com/the-hebrew-calendar-in-jubilees-and-enoch/comment-page-1/#comment-1358">Lenette</a>.

The best source for witnesses is the Dead Sea Scrolls which are the documented accounts of how the Zadok priests kept the calendar.

DSS 4Q320 Mishmarot A Fragment 1 states: there is a full moon on the 4th day of the week of Gamul in the first year and 4Q328 Mishmarot F lists the priestly families that will serve as the heads of the 4 seasons listing Gamul as the head of the first season (spring) of the 1st year of every 6 year priestly course.

On the first day of the 7 day creation week the earth was without form (H8414) and void (H944) before Yah said let there be light, dividing the light from the darkness like an equilux making the 24 hour day have 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. Yeshua was the first fruit of creation and the first fruit of resurrection. I think Yah added light the first day so He could see what he was creating going forward.

Gen 1:2-5
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.

The lights created on the 4th day sounds a whole lot like signs to create a calendar that would make things grow.

Gen 1:14-16

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Book of Jubilees 2:8-11

And on the fourth day He created the sun and the moon and the stars, and set them in the firmament of the heaven, to give light upon all the earth, and to rule over the day and the night, and divide the light from the darkness. And God appointed the sun to be a great sign on the earth for days and for sabbaths and for months and for feasts and for years and for sabbaths of years and for jubilees and for all seasons of the years. And it divideth the light from the darkness [and] for prosperity, that all things may prosper which shoot and grow on the earth. These three kinds He made on the fourth day.

We pray this information is helpful in your calendar studies.

I have been reading this information. I just cannot see how day 4 of creation can be seen as the 1st day just because the sun and moon was created on that day. Yes it would become the way to tell the times and seasons for humanity who was not created yet, but God is light and He said it was Day 1 on day 1 when He started creating. If He wanted it to be known as day 1 on day 4 then He would have said so. I really think that is a bit of a human interpretation. Because we work according to God's 7 day week and the 7th day He rested and so should we on the Sabbath, but if His first day is day 1 then it should stay so. I don't think we must add to the biblical text that was not stated there directly. I do believe that God is a God of order. I am also very sure that Yeshua knew His own calendar and He was teaching on Sabbath in the synagogue. He also healed people on the Sabbath for which He was severely criticized by the religious leaders of the time. If this was the wrong calendar that Sabbath was not on Saturday, I am sure that we would have read this in scripture and He would have instructed the disciples to keep the Zadok Sabbath but he never did and neither did the disciples. I do agree that there is a fixed calendar that has been lost but how the Zadok calendar is interpreted should be in the light of Yeshua as He is the author of it all.

Kevin,

The weekly Shabbat is always on the 7th day and the day begins at dawn each day based on our studies.

4Q319-4Q326 scrolls tell us things like the priest that serves on the feast days, the full moon, new moon, the ot signs and the weekly Sabbath.

DSS 4Q320 Mishmarot A Frag 1 reads like this.
.....to show it from the east , and to cause it to shine in the middle of the heaven, in the foundation of the creation, from evening till morning. (There is a full moon) On the 4th day of the week of the sons of Gamul in the first month of the first year.
The new 294 year Zadok Priestly Jubilee count began. on March 20, 2019. Now that we know where we are in time the count will be easy going forward. Six years of 364 day counts (2184 days total). Next we will intercalate 7 days, then start the next 6 year count until Yeshua returns.

4Q326 states that in the 1st month the 4th day, the 11th day, the 18th day and the 25th days are all weekly Sabbaths during the first year of the 6 year Zadok Priestly Calendar course. The Zadok priests, feasts, sun, moon and star constellations all part our heavenly Father creation are the best examples for how to keep the ZPC calendar.

Hi Sally. Thanks for the head's up. You can never be too picky where understanding the Word is concerned. Unfortunately we live in a dark world where almost everything is corrupted.
Was poking thru while saving this teaching. Good one.
But...did you notice the Freemasonic references in here?
That amplified Bible is really bad.
Where? Talks about "light bearers" in the expanse of heaven..
Changing the scriptures!

I'm anti-masonic big time and always notice key words like that.
Changing firmament/Rakia to expanse is not so good.
Then light bearers vice luminaries.
Very, very interesting choice of words.
You guys are great...love most teaching...but I had to say something.

Sorry if that's too picky.. Masonry is too much in our face already. Using Jesuit terms/Masonic terms is just indoctrination in my opinion.

Thanks for the time here.

Hi Trish,

Thank you for including GWDF in your calendar studies. Please forgive me for not replying sooner but we received some new information about the Zadok calendar and we are studying that information you might be interested in knowing.

We met some folks at 2023 Sukkot that have been studying the Zadok calendar for years adding the Zadok Priestly order by lot (1 Chr 24) into the mix. They found more information in the DSS that is very interesting.

The biggest concern for congregations is when to add the Intercalary week to catch up with the sun's 365.25 day yearly cycle. 1Enoch 82 talks about equal day and night and the world tells us that is the Equinox but these folks found out there is a day called Equilux or Equal day (Sun) and night (Moon) that is the actual spring 24 hour day we should be using to know when to start a new year. The Equilux usually occurs on March 16 or 17 a few days before the Equinox. They also found out that the Priestly Cycle has a Jubilee every 294 years (49 x 6) and a new cycle started in 2019 so we are now in the 6th year of the new Jubilee cycle.

In 2019, the year started on the 4th day of the week (Wednesday) March 20, 2019. That day was a full moon, the Equinox occurred, the sun was in Pisces, it was the priest service week of Gamul #22, and on the 30th day of the moon's monthly cycle another full moon occurred during the weekly priest service of Yedaiah. All these events are said to happen in the first month of the first year of what the Zadok priests call the Creation week in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

We at GWDF will have an Intercalary reset week starting the 1st year of a new 6 year Priestly cycle on March 19, 2025. In 2025, the Equilux Day is Monday, March 16 and the Equinox day is Thursday, March 20, Gamul is the priest in service and on the 30th day of the moon cycle Yedaiah is the priest going into service and there is a full moon .

I agree with those that are studying this information that Yah is showing His kids that are seeking truth what the end time calendar looks like.

I pray I have not totally confused you. We will be discussing the calendar in our newsletter and blog the next few months. Please stay in touch and let us know if you have any more questions.

I am not the author of this site, but I will tell you my theory on the Psalm 104 verse. If you have ever gotten serious about agriculture, hunting, gathering, fishing, there are always "seasons" within the year that the moon plays a significant role, but has nothing to do with a calendar date if that makes sense.
Example is when planting most food seeds (fruits and veggies) planting in the waxing period of the moon adds light for faster, stronger sprouting. Another is harvesting root vegetables during a waning moon reduces the moisture in the soil allowing for longer dry storage. These are things that have been known and used in agriculture for a very long time.
There are also, historically, names for full moons. Some of these names changed based on where you are, but have much to do with the harvest of that time frame. Strawberry Moon and Buck Moon are two off the top of my head as an example. You can guess what you are harvesting in those months.
Hope this helps.
