Shavuot 2025

Shavuot transcends its identity as a harvest festival—it’s a time to deepen our community’s covenantal bond with Yahuah. This occasion invites us to engage in lively communal worship, express heartfelt thanksgiving, and reflect on the Most High’s enduring faithfulness in providing for His people.

Shavuot, also known as the Feast of Weeks, is portrayed in Leviticus 23 as a sacred celebration of both harvest and dedication. It is the second of the three annual pilgrimage festivals, following Passover and preceding Sukkot. Key features of Shavuot as detailed in Leviticus 23 include:

1. A Day of Sacred Assembly and Rest:
This is a specially designated day for gathering in holy assembly. Ordinary work is set aside to honor the day’s unique focus on worship and celebration.

2. The Offering of Firstfruits:
Shavuot is historically connected with presenting the season’s first fruits. It provides the people of Yah an opportunity to express gratitude and reaffirm their reliance on divine provision.

3. A Celebration of the Harvest:
Held at the end of the grain harvest season in ancient Israel, the festival highlights the bond between the cycles of nature, the hard work of the people, and Yahuah’s sustaining care.

You are invited to join us at Lake Pat Mayse for a transformative experience of worship and fellowship this Shavuot. For more details, contact us.

About GWDF

The GWDF ministry is the information hub for discipleship resources related to the Gospel of the Kingdom. It was created as an outreach to explain the components of Yahuah’s coming Kingdom on earth through our book The Gospel Worth Dying For. Since publishing the book and website in 2022, the ministry has grown exceedingly — Yah be praised. We publish the Zadok Priestly calendar, discipleship videos on our YouTube channel, and host annual Sukkot gatherings in Texas.
